About Gary Gorman

Gary Gorman, aka ‘The Negotiation Simplifier’, has over 30 years’ experience in sales negotiating. Having worked with some of the toughest customers around including Tesco, Asda, Superdrug and Boots.

He now runs his own negotiation training workshops, to help individuals and teams, learn the skills of how to become skilled negotiators.  He also offers consultations, to help managers to come up with the best negotiation process to suit their team and optimise business opportunities.

Gary has also written and published two books as a result of his wealth of knowledge and experience: “30 Days Sales Challenge: Get To Love Selling For The Non Sales Person” and “Inside The Entrepreneur’s Mind”.

The task

Gary previously had a VA who was based overseas.  Having benefited from the extra support, he now wanted to engage another VA.  He was looking for someone with a wide range of skills, so that they could use their own initiative and work together as part of his team.

He started running webinars in 2020, creating 30 minute free training opportunities for people who are interested in sales negotiation.  So he was looking for some support in co-hosting, which would enable him to concentrate on running the webinar.  He was also looking to have some support on creating images and social media posts, which would help in the promotion for his webinars, along with other marketing content.

How we solved the problem

Having talked through the areas he needed support with First Rate PA, he was assigned a VA to support him for a few hours a month.  Starting with some website updates, his VA also helped by creating a set of social media posts to share some of the many great testimonials he has been given.

Looking at his social media, his VA came up with a set of social media banner images to help promote his brand across his social media platforms.  By setting up a social media management account, this would also help them to schedule posts over the month, freeing up his time to concentrate on other tasks.

The results

By working together, they accomplish as list of achievements each month.  Using a shared file listing the month’s tasks, they are able to easily communicate which tasks have been achieved, with a record of everything that has been completed.

Gary has now reviewed all his social media platforms to be able to concentrate on the right platforms for his target market.  He is now also using a social media management platform, which enables him to see what posts have been scheduled each month.

He is now working with his VA to look at the options to update his website, by creating and uploading new content and blogs.
