Kat Hounsell is a People Development Specialist, who helps to build thriving cultures within organisations.
She founded Everyday People in 2016, with a focus on supporting leaders and teams, to take everyday actions that improve wellbeing and realise sustainable performance within an organisation.

Kat is passionate about organisational culture and helping to open up the conversation around mental health at work. She is working towards making all businesses are mentally healthy places to work, and equipping individuals with everyday actions that help support theirs and others wellbeing.
Delivering first class customer service along with the support that she offers, she gets huge job satisfaction as she loves to help people. Many of her clients have commented how amazing and supportive the everyday people team are.
Kat was looking to save time and keep up to date with the behind the scenes admin and support her associate team. Having additional support with running her courses, as she offers both MHFA and her own course programmes. She was looking for help in creating more marketing content across social media; maintaining data entry on her CRM system; providing course management; and customer support.
How we solved the problem
With her own dedicated VA, she delegated admin tasks, including data entry, course management and customer service. Her VA assisted with the course management through to creating PowerPoint presentations and Word documents for the course content and supportive literature. Creating and designing content to meet her brand standards for her social media platforms, using Canva.
Depending on Kat’s client’s needs, her VA would provide different support whenever she was needed.
As her VA became more involved, they were able to help keep everything running smoothly in the background, which has enabled Kat to concentrate on growing the business. As a result, Kat has had more time, allowing her to take on more clients and knowing that her current clients were being looked after. It has also helped to support Kat’s Wellbeing, knowing that she can delegate tasks to her VA, who understands her business needs.
