Where to Hold Business Meetings in Chichester
I was recently asked if I knew anywhere to hold business meetings in Chichester. A client was looking to get their team off-site, so they can focus on an agenda without the distractions of the office. Now I will admit that this is something I should know off the top of my head, but I have been a little out of the loop in my hometown and could only think of places in Brighton!!
This, of course, left me a little stumped and got me asking around for recommendations. After doing a bit of research myself, I have come up with this list of my top 6 recommendations for holding business meetings in Chichester.
1. Edes House, West Street
Edes House is a lovely Council building in West Street, very central to town. They have meeting room packages from £25 and can accommodate delegates from as little as 4 people up to 80. No parking on site, but there you can park in St Cyriacs.
2. Pallant Suite, South Pallant
The Pallant Suite is a fantastic building hidden in South Pallant, walk through the lovely arched door and be greeted with an array of meeting spaces. From smaller ones that can accommodate 10 people, to a main hall that will hold up to 100 and even has a stage for presentations. Prices start from £95 for a morning’s meeting. Parking can be either in Cawley Priory or South Pallant.
3. Forum House, Stirling Road
Found a little out of the main streets of the town, Forum House is a designated Business Centre and houses a good few local businesses. They can accommodate small meetings of 5 people or larger meetings of up to 16. Prices start at £11 per hour and the closest parking can be found in either the Cattle Market, Market Avenue or Market Road A.
4. New Park Centre, New Park Road
Also off the main streets of town, the New Park Centre is a lovely old cinema building that can accommodate small meetings of 2, or large meetings of 125. They have their own facilities and even a car park. Pricing on the website start at £15 per hour, but contacting them for smaller meetings is advised.
5. Chichester Park Hotel, Westhampnett
A little out of town Chichester Park Hotel gives you a choice of 2 “suites” to hold your meetings. Accommodating numbers of 16 to 220, the suites offer their own breakout areas and facilities. With parking on site, the hotel is great for larger meetings or company gatherings. You will need to contact them for pricing as there is nothing on the website.
6. Harbour Hotel, North Street
Back in the city walls, we have the Harbour Hotel, previously the Ship Hotel. Offering meeting rooms from 10 to 75 delegates, pricing starts at £30 per person. Having their own car park round the back is rather helpful, although they are just a short walk from Northgate car park.
There are of course others I’ve not mentioned such as Chichester College and Chichester University both have meetings spaces for hire. If you are looking to go further out of town, you have places like the Chichester Yacht Club available, with a lovely view and setting. It would be interesting to hear of other places to meet in Chichester, so please do get in touch with your suggestions and I will add these to my list.
